It is a scientifically proven fact that watching animal videos – especially baby animal videos, lowers cortisol in our bodies! A friend forwarded me a YouTube video yesterday featuring Crusoe and Daphne the Dachshunds. They are taking a serious matter (explaining the risks and safety measures recommended for COVID-19) seriously, yet adding lightness and a sense of humor. This is probably in an attempt to get more people, including kids, to watch. I found myself laughing out loud at a few lines. We are NOT laughing at the seriousness of the Coronavirus, but we recognize the need for all of us to find reasons to smile when we can. It helps us cope and helps us shed a few stress hormones.
